“Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man or man independent of woman. For just as woman came from man, so man comes through woman; but all things come from God.” 1 Corinthians 11:11-12

Remaining in love. Continuing with the behavior of the courtship throughout married life is a great piece of advice. A successful marriage does not happen magically, but must be developed. Do not take love for granted: you have to express it and put it into practice constantly.


“A capable wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.” Proverbs 31:10-12

What God has united ... Let us not forget that God himself united them in marriage and His plan is that they remain together and happy. He will bring happiness and love to their lives if we obey His divine rules and commandments. For God everything is possible, He can easily provide us with love for one another if we allow it.

God as the center of everything. This is the greatest rule above all others. We must put Christ first. The real secret of happiness at home is not diplomacy, strategy, or tireless efforts to overcome problems, but rather our union with Christ. Hearts filled with the love of God can never be too far apart from each other. With Christ in our home, the marriage will succeed.

Each spouse has the right granted by God to have some private things that do not need to be explained. Do not meddle in your partner's affairs, in private correspondence or other personal things, unless he or she allows it. The right to privacy and silence when the other person is worried should be respected.
